Pressure reducing control valve with 24 volt AC solenoid control. This hydraulically operated, diaphragm-actuated pressure reducing valve reduces higher upstream pressure to lower constant downstream pressure regardless of fluctuating demand. It can also be opened and closed electronically and easily connects to any compatible AC irrigation contoller.

Easily converts to DC power by swapping bolt-on solenoid with a 9-24V DC latching solenoid (sold separately). No replumbing required.

How it Works

The Solenoid Valve [1] connects Pressure Reducing Pilot [3] to the Control Chamber [4]. When the Solenoid Valve is closed, the Pressure Reducing Pilot commands the Valve to throttle closed should Downstream Pressure [P2] rise above setting and modulate to open when it drops below setting. Upon pressure drop command, the solenoid valve is switched by electric signal control, the pipe pressure is guided into the control chamber through the shuttle valve, and the pressure in the control chamber increases, prompting the valve to close. The Solenoid Valve enables manual Closing.
