12" Ductile Iron Gate Valve, MJ, NRS, Resilient Wedge, 2" Sq. Nut, AWWA C515
On a standard gate valve with only a metal seal there needs to be a impression for the gate to seat to and make a seal. This impression can get dirt, pebbles, sand or other debris trapped in it, eventually losing its ability to seal 100%. The advantage our resilient seated gate valve has is that the opening in the valve is completely smooth, preventing debris from getting stuck. Even with some impurities the rubber surface will be able to conform and seal.
